Hear about Chef Purps
A not so good experience from Big Bear Track Club that ended up forming the B Squad. Advice to runners and 2018 Portland Track Festival 1500 win!
Miss Purple Brown reveals the story of where the middle name, Purple, came from. She ran 27 minutes in her first 5K with no training, in basketball shoes and later improved to 23 minutes. Did I mention this was at 10 years old!
She has a natural competitive spirit and loves to win. A multi-sport athlete who had a time in 8th grade to win the Class A High School State Meet. Is there crying in cross country? She recalls being named Athlete of the Year in high school, how she decided on attending the U of Arkansas, what slowed her down her freshman year which led to her mantra that you must hear! Who took her under her wing (hint…a professional), the determination to drop :03 seconds each year in the 800 and when the idea of being a pro started?
The mindset behind it all along with setbacks/injuries, challenges of being unsponsored and advice on how to choose the right running coach for you.
